RIK NEWBY: Sales Coordinator
Born here
in Northern California, Rik has lived all over the United States, but
always returns to the Bay Area. Rik comes to Galaxy Desserts with a
background in sales and customer service, most recently at
Ghirardelli Chocolate in San Leandro, California. Rik is excited
about joining the international team at Galaxy Desserts, and looks
forward to assisting with the company's growth. In his off time,
Rik likes reading, hiking, and spending time with family and
friends.

SOPHIE GRANIER: QA Project
Manager (Returning)
From the South of France, Sophie previously
worked with Galaxy as Quality Manager. She has re-joined the team
now as Project Manager. Sophie holds a Master's degree in Food
Science and has worked in different food companies working on
various food products such as ice cream, rice and desserts. She is
excited to work with Galaxy once again. California is her second
home and she enjoys the nice weather and wine.

Intern/Associate
From Austria, Stefanie comes to
Galaxy with a Master's Degree in Food Science. Stefanie has some
working experience in the area of Biotechnology and Food Science.
Having a French and an Austrian background she is happy to work for
a company such as Galaxy Desserts creating French inspired
desserts. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to learn and work
with people from all around the world. In her spare time, Stefanie
enjoys traveling throughout California.

CUSTOMER OF THE QUARTER:

Shamrock's rich heritage
began when W.T. McClelland (Mr. Mac), son of an Irish farmer,
immigrated to the U.S. and bought a small dairy business in 1922 to
serve a handful of customers in the Tucson area.
After World War II, Shamrock Dairy built a processing plant in
Phoenix and launched continuous expansion programs in both facility
development and product line.
Today, Shamrock Foods Company is the umbrella for Shamrock Farms, the
largest dairy in the Southwest, and Shamrock Foods, a
nationally-ranked foodservice distributor. Now headquartered in
Phoenix, Shamrock sends refrigerated trucks to 9 other states from
distribution centers in Phoenix, Arizona, Commerce City (Denver),
Colorado and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
